My weekly therapies

My favorite challenges at SBG. Images are linked.

Frameworthy this week is targeting Christel Dall.
I was inspired by the sadness in her images, loneliness, broken hearts and it reminded me of the one big sadness in my life, my babyson Ben who died in 1992. On the lyrics of Enya.

The other one is the Alter Artspiration, this week a DVD cover!
De Ongeluckige voyagie vant schip Batavia

Batavia was a ship of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). She was built in Amsterdam in 1628, and had 24 cast-iron cannons. Batavia was shipwrecked close to Australia on her maiden voyage, and made famous by the subsequent mutiny and massacre that took place among the survivors.
I witnessed the building of a replica of the ship (also called the Batavia) and can be visited in Lelystad, the Netherlands, when I lived there.
