Mount Carmel on fire

I was supposed to go to the Carmel hospital today but the roads are closed, as since 11.30 this morning the Mountain is on fire. It has been so dry and warm, no rain in months and with the strong winds, by now 3000 dunams have been burned. Villages and a large prison evacuated and one of the evacuated busses got trapped on the narrow mountain road, could not make a u-turn and 40 people burned alive inside this bus, all dead, may God rest their soul. Now it is dark and they can't continue fighting the fire so it will burn overnight. I just saw my doctor and got a letter for another hospital, will see if I go now (18.00 evening here) or tomorrow morning.
status quo almost 24 hours later: 20.000 30.000 dunams burned.

These pictures I took from my front garden, half an hour after it started.

Hoi Elsina,

Liefs Ester

I hope your home is not in the fire's path and you able to get to the new hospital.

I am so sorry to hear this- my heart grieves for Israel and the knowledge of days to come. Praying for all.
