But there was no snow! So we decided to go to the Hermon ski-park (click link to see how park looks in normal winter) so the girls could see at least some snow. We paid 44 shekels entrance each ( 13-14 dollars) and went inside. We got a 6 shekel (2 dollar) a person deduction and it should have rang a bell! It was overcrowded with people and... (almost) no snow! They had taken from the mountain- top a few bulldozers of snow and dumped it on a pile. It was perhaps an area of 30 by 30 feet (10 by 10 meters) where a ton of kids were playing (it was another 7 dollars to rent a small plastic sled for those with little kids).. It was another 70 dollars for us together to go by cablecar to that mountain-top and a waiting line of 1 hour, which we declined. Wat a rip off! I think the girls had fun though with such a rarity as a snowball fight :)
Driving in the clouds
and than into bright skies again....
We went to see the Sa'ar waterfall afterwards (also crowded because of the good weather), girls ate at McDonalds on the way, so not all was lost...especially as Michal was with us who got an unextpected leave from the navy (normally she is only one saturday a month home), so it was fun...but I am still fuming at that snowpark rip off.
Happy end :)

We never got snow. In this time it's summer. Sometimes in winter - very early in the morning - there is a little frost. Last winter I once wore a thick jacket - sweater, chucks and jeans sufficient.I like it ;)

If I could I would ship you some of my snow. We have so much now we have nowhere to put it! And it snowed again this morning and they are calling for more tonight. The roads I have to drive to work in the morning are notorious for drifting over so I don't look foward to the drive at all. I would trade Israel for Illinois any day of the year! Did I mention that I HATE SNOW!!!
Hey, want to drop in and visit with you. Have been on holiday so it has not been so much with the blog. Wish a good day to you. Hugs from Maria

Hi.
Thank you for nice comments on my blog :) This seems like a very nice trip! We have snow almost the whole winter. But in my side of the country it also rains and storms alot in the wintertime :)
About Green Gate..Have you tried to shop on net? There are alot of good net-shops that sells Green Gate :)
Have a nice weekend!
I thought about packaging up some snow for you and shipping it over. But, alas, it would only be a puddle when it got there. What you really need to try is snow ice cream! My daughter, who got 26" where she lives, made some.
